Happy Dashain, Deepwali and Chhath to all out there.

We Nepalese are spread all over the world. We have our own originality. But unity in diversity. Nepalese celebrate with one another in family, neighbours and all share their joys and sorrows in the time they meet.
Specially the great festivals Dashain and Tihar wh are the times when all become pleased as its the time when people meet one another after long times may be not less than a year. Children and jobholders get free time to get them sit for something they planned to do with in family or friends or neighbours.

Dashain is the biggest festival celebrated by Nepalese. Tika received from the elders is the main offerings in the festival. Red Tika in forhead and Jamara (green maize seedling) in the head (hair or above the ears) in both male and female are the assets collected along with the blessings for good health, prosperity and success.
Goddess Durga is worshipped and Chyangra, goats, buffalo, Hen, Duck etc. are sacrificed in the name of Durga Mata. The meat of the animals are preserved and cooked daily.

Tihar follows Dashain festival. Its specially the festival of the brothers and sisters. Sisters put tika of seven colours on the brother's forhead and break walnut that represents the breaking of Yamaraj's head who takes away a man when passed away. Sisters and brothers exchange the gifts with eachother and eat delicious food and drinks.
These festivals are made pleasant by the automn season with bright but lovely Sun with greenery around.
Farmers are also happy in this festival when they just harvest rice with better production. Entertaining dances and singing of songs of blessings can be seen done by the people in groups representing a community, youth clubs or organisations and thus "Deusi-Bhailo" is played in each house or community or in Chowks. Specially children are fond of playing "Deusi-Bhailo" and make money for organising Picnics or excursions.

With the celebration for about a month everybody get back to their places, work and profession making memory in their mind. Videography and Photography is highly valued in these moments.

Here is a wish for you all.
